My client a highly regarded local business based on the outskirts of Preston are looking to appoint a part time Payroll Officer to manage the payroll function from start to finish within the finance team for 3 days per week.
The Payroll officer will be responsible to lead the company’s payroll both weekly and monthly payroll’s for the business. Responsibilities include processing the payroll information including starters, leavers, maternity/paternity pay, year end processing. You will be responsible for reporting RTI, payments, deduction and National Insurance to HMRC. You will be require to keep accurate employees records, recording absence, sickness, holidays etc, whilst keeping abreast of legislative changes and be able to advise staff accordingly. Other duties will include general finance work, purchase ledger, cash book and raising invoices.
You will have a proven track record of company payrolls, you will have at least 3 years’ recent experience along with the ability to fit into a busy finance department. Good system skills along with passion, drive and motivation. You will be part of a successful and growing culture. In return our client offers a salary of £20,000 - £24,000 pro rata plus full benefits package.
