This is a fantastic opportunity to assume the number one finance role in the business and build a team around you. Working closely with an entrepreneurial Managing Director this is a highly visible role in the business and has significant upside as the company continues to grow.
You will assume full responsibility for the finance function of the business leading a small team. It is important you can balance the ability to lead and develop staff while at the same time being willing to get involved in the detail and demonstrate a hands-on approach. Key duties will include -
* Preparation of management accounts.
* Statutory accounting.
* Produce information for the board meetings.
* Budgets and forecasts.
* Project work including upcoming ERP implementation work.
* Stock management.
* Margin analysis.
* Oversee transactional accounting function.
* Manage bank, legal and audit relationships.
You will be a qualified accountant with experience in retail / wholesale / distribution or related industry - ideally SME. It is important you have the ability to lead and manage in a high growth and ever changing environment. Exposure to an ERP implementation (netsuite or similar) would be seen as an advantage but not essential.
