Job Title: Senior Commercial Contracts Lawyer (8+ PQE)
Location: Manchester or Liverpool

Salary: Up to £80,000 DOE
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Commercial Lawyer with a minimum of 8 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in general commercial law to lead and expand our growing team. Currently, our client’s commercial practice is looking to expand and take on a highly experienced solicitor
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the commercial law team, providing mentorship and guidance to junior lawyers.
* Develop and execute strategies to expand the commercial and IP practice areas.
* Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships to foster business growth.
* Manage a diverse caseload, including drafting, negotiating, and advising on commercial agreements and IP matters.
* Collaborate with colleagues across the firm to leverage their networks and expertise in business development efforts.
* Engage with clients and prospects to understand their needs and provide tailored legal solutions.
* Actively participate in networking events and industry conferences to enhance the firm’s visibility and reputation.
Qualifications & Experience Needed:
* Minimum of 8 PQE in general commercial law , with a solid understanding of non-contentious work.
* Proven track record of client development and the ability to generate new business.
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues.
* Experience in managing and leading teams is preferred.
* Familiarity with regulatory matters (e.g., FCA, Blockchain) is a plus.
* A proactive approach to business development, with a history of successful networking and client engagement.
