Job Title: Financial Mis-Selling Solicitor (NQ-3 Year PQE)
Location: Manchester

I am currently working with a leading North West-based law firm that has built a strong national reputation for delivering high-quality legal services within the consumer and financial litigation space.
Due to significant growth and the launch of a new Manchester-based litigation team, my client is looking to appoint Financial Mis-Selling Solicitors to play a key role in the department’s development.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking firm with a strong pipeline of work and genuine scope for progression.
The Opportunity
- You will manage your own caseload of financial mis-selling matters, handling claims from pre-action through to settlement or trial. The work will include a range of complex financial product disputes such as:
- PCP claims
- Investment mis-selling
- Pension transfer claims
- PPI
- Omnibus claims
- Other financial services disputes
- You will also have the opportunity to support and supervise junior team members as the department continues to expand.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a caseload of financial mis-selling claims end-to-end
- Reviewing complex financial documentation and advising clients clearly and commercially
- Drafting Letters of Claim, Particulars of Claim, witness statements and court documentation
- Liaising with clients, financial institutions, experts and counsel
- Conducting legal research and keeping up to date with FCA regulations and case law developments
- Negotiating settlements and attending hearings or mediations where required
- Supporting and mentoring junior fee earners and paralegals
- Ensuring compliance with SRA and FCA regulatory standards
About You
- Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales)
- Newly Qualified – 2 years PQE with demonstrable experience in financial mis-selling, professional negligence, or complex consumer litigation
- Strong understanding of FCA regulations and financial product disputes
- Confident managing a busy caseload with minimal supervision
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and advocacy skills
- Strong client care and communication skills
- Experience using case management systems (Proclaim or similar)
- Additional financial or compliance-related qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential.
